Beauty In The Storm.. (narrative photography project: mine)

Lake Koshkonong is a beautiful place up in wisconsin, but it's got a bit of rough history up on the shores.

Many storms and floods have damaged the shores and waters of
lake Koshkonong. And I have personally seen the damage it's done...

 My extended family owns a
camper in the Lake Land camping site, right near where lake Koshkonong lies. Because of the
many floods it has seen, the lake has damaged the land around the far end of the camping site, where the shore of the lake is.

The land back there is now mostly consistent of marshes and dirty soil.
There are random little parts of boating docks spread out around there.
It's kind of like a dirty treasure hunt when you walk around there.

Back when the first few floods hit, the water rose so high that it completely damaged my families old camper, so we had to salvage what was left useful from it and let the site knock it down. We now have a new camper, further away from the lake and propped up on a hill, so hopefully it won't get flooded...

Even after all this place has been through... it still remains to be amazingly beautiful...
